When it Rains, It Burns
This has been a week for the books. All kinds of upheaval that I'm convinced is the result of Mercury in retrograde.
Yesterday, using a blow dryer and brush that I've had forever, I managed to burn a plug of hair.
Of course, I was headed somewhere.

Big Rich Texas
D Magazine is one of the more polarizing publications in this city. People seem to love it or hate it. I tend to like it, since my friends are featured regularly. And, by regular I mean months other than the controversial “black folks issue”.
Anywho, I will be importing Merritt Patterson’s (he writes for D Magazine) recap of the reality show, docu-drama, Big Rich Texas into my blog.

The quickest way to irritate me is to spout off a fashion "rule". Only unfortunate looking souls who can't pull together a decent look need the damn things. Besides, most are preferences, not rules. Once you get passed VPL, I'm sure everything else is up to interpretation (honey, nobody wants to look at panty lines cutting across your wide ass).
