Weekend Quick Change
Sooooo, the idea of a weekend quick change seemed like something I could give a bi-monthly commitment. Instead of twice a month, I seem to be unlazy every 2 months.. I'll get better.
Anywho, this one is the result a 5 hour nap in the middle of the day. I wanted to jazz up #1 an Ikea Malm nightstand, and #2 a thrift store mirror (more on that later). Also, I purchased a pagoda from O'verlays last year and just plain wanted to use it!!
Armed with a love for spray paint and lots of half empty cans.. this project seemed like just the thing get rid of 3 or so of those cans.
Here are the befores:

Longhorn Swag
I've been obsessing about this for several months now.
Visit cardboardsafari.com for more awesome animals. I'm trying to work the moose and deer into something around this house also!

Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself
This is me, blowing the dust off of my blog.
*insert exaggerated breathy blowing here*
I'll be posting some before and after shots of furniture projects in the coming days. My technique was rusty. One day I'll blog about the mirror I made, unmade, hung, took down, then took apart, only to use a store bought one.
Now, I'm back in stride again! *cue Frankie Beverly*.
Im finishing up a nightstand I can't wait to photograph.
See you soon
xoxo

Allure Magazine's Frequently Flubbed Style Words
One of the things that irritates me most, is the hatchet job folks do the the name Vuitton.
Like literally I want to yell, "It's VEE- ton you idiot, not VUH- ton"
Sheesh!
Anywho, the folks over at Allure Magazine feel my pain. Don't come my way yakking about a damn Birkin, if you make an "H" sound when you say Hermes.
This list rocks!

Nicki Minaj for OPI
My personal thought is that OPI is borrowing from the book of MAC. Tons of limited collections that always end up looking like something already in production.
......And goes the next shot, lol.
The limited-edition collection of six colors are inspired by the star’s songs on her debut album “Pink Friday.”
The line includes Pink Friday (a creamy bubblegum hue), Metallic 4 Life (a charcoal sparkle), Super Bass Shatter (a purple, graffiti art-inspired topcoat effect), Save Me (a silver-rainbow glitter), Fly (an electric aqua) and Did It On ‘Em (a fluorescent lime).
Collection drops Jan 2012.

Kanye West Spring Summer 2012
So Yeezy's yak about his uber tight guest list was all for not. Celebrities had great things to say about his collection. The thing is, their opins don't matter. Buyers and editors hated the collection and those are the only 2 opinons that matter. Buyers purchase clothes for retailers. Editors use looks for shoots.
Without editors and buyers on his side...dude is just playing dress up.
